It was asserted that a video reported as news by the web sites such as Ensonhaber, Yeni Akit, GZT.com and Süper HaberTv shows that a man in Oman who was flown by balloons for birthday celebration died after falling due to breaking of the ropes tied to balloons. The video produced for advertising was combined with another rescue image
However, the claim that the video showing death of a man in Oman who was flown by balloons as birthday surprise, after falling is not true. The relevant video was generated with the combination of two different videos. The first part of the video where a person is flown with a chair ties to balloons belongs to advertisement of a real estate company in Dubai. Rescue images of an Asian woman who died in September 2018 while climbing a mountain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) make up the second part of the video.
It can be seen that the video where a person is flown to sky with a chair tied to balloons was uploaded to the video sharing website, YouTube on September 5, 2016 by a user named “Misfits Content Creators.” A mention “soon this view can be yours” can be recognized at the end of the video. This implication is about a housing project called Dubai Creek Harbour in Dubai implemented by Emaar real estate company.
It can be said that Misfits Content Creators shoots similar advertisements and creative videos. Misfits Content Creators identifies itself as the creator of funny and shareable videos on its official website. Moreover, the company states on its Instagram account that they enjoy creating entertaining videos with original ideas.

It is observed in another video that a man gets in a toy car equipped with real car engine.
Misfits Content Creators declared from their Facebook account that their former advertising campaigns were being used for fake news after commercial film broadcasted in 2016 was shared with similar claims in various countries.
Rescue images belong to an accident experienced in the last month in the United Arab Emirates
The images in the second part of the video were taken from a rescue operation performed in September 2018 in the UAE. The news broadcasted on September 22, 2018 by Al Arabiya reports that an Asian woman who fell off a mountain in Ras Al Khaimah had fatal injuries and died in hospital.
In other news dated September 21, 2018, it is specified that a woman in her 30s fell off Ghaleila Mountain and died during a hiking trip with her friends and husband. Carrying of the woman on a stretcher can be watched in the images shared by a web site named News Majlis.
All in all, the claim that a video showing the death of a man flown by balloons after falling is not true.
